Our new Pre-K Center opened in the Fall of 2012 for 3 and 4 year old students. This new center features Pre-K 3 classrooms, for students who are 3 years old by September 1 and Pre-K 4 classrooms, for students who are 4 years old by September 1. Students will practice acting as true friends to other children and adults with whom the students share God's world. Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 students pray daily and attend our Children's Mass every Friday. The Pre-K program prepares children for success in later learning experiences by using developmentally appropriate practices that enrich and support the basic nature of how children learn. Children participate in hands-on activities that help them develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Pre-K students visit the school library and public library on a regular basis. In addition, St. Philp Catholic School offers computer lab experience and computer assisted instruction and provides educational field trip opportunities.
